we just wanted to let everyone know that our office will be closed all day tomorrow, Saturday May 12th for a training workshop. we hope you all have a lovely weekend and enjoy the sunshine! as always – we will be checking messages left on our mobile line and returning calls on breaks as necessary. if you have an emergency – please make sure to transfer through to our mobile line as we won’t have access to messages on our office line until the end of the day.

last year we rolled out a thank you program for our tenants who pay their rent on time. boy have we had a good time giving out those gift cards and so we decided we wanted to add another way to win $50.

we want to boost our social media presence and we need your help!

each month we’ll be giving away THREE $50 GIFT CARDS!!! you’ll have the chance to enter our contest in a specified manner for that month. one month it might be tweeting about us, another month we might focus on facebook comments. on the first of each month, i’ll announce both our winners from the previous month and the focus of our contest for the new month.

it’s our birthday.

dwell management is four years old today. well kind of.

you see, we started through discussions at the kitchen table. me and my troubled self with anyone else who’d listen to my dreams of doing property management better. but today, we celebrate the name we put to our dream as it was on this date that we registered our business with the state.

four years later, we are at the best place we have ever been.

we are a well oiled machine. sure we make mistakes, but they happen less and less and we are better at saying “oops” and “i’m sorry” when they do.

our values are not just clearly defined but lived out. we knew who we wanted to be four years ago but now we are actually getting the hang of how those values play out in the real work of day-to-day interactions.

we are unapologetic about who we are and only work with people who are like-minded. what a wave of relief it is to be understood and appreciated for the work we do and more importantly, how we do it.

so, thanks to all you dwellers out there – the people we work for and with and get to experience this precious life alongside, all the while making a living. we are truly thankful for you and the contribution you make to our humble lives!

we wanted to let everyone know that our office will be closed for us to attend training this coming friday and saturday (march 9-10). we will re-open for normal business hours on tuesday, march 13th and will be checking messages at breaks in the training. we apologize for any inconvenience.

we had a record turnout of on-time rent payments this month! as we expected, we had a smaller turnout for rent payments this month in order to take advantage of our gift card drawing for those tenants who pay their rent on time (by the 1st).  between the holidays and our office closure many people are just too busy to get the rent in on time. january and july are historically the worst payment months so plan ahead so you can participate in our drawing. for these drawings that fall on a day our office is closed, we will check the mail for payments as well as include those rent we recieved ahead of time. for those of you who got it in, you had great odds this month and i’m pleased to announce our two first winners of 2012:
