spring is definitely in the air. being the newest member of the dwell team, it is so fitting that i would be starting a new job when such a beautiful season is alive all around us. for several years, i have lived in a mountainous region, where the winter is long; the snowflakes are bountiful, yet beautiful. with the spring time being short, and summer close on its heels. the pace is much more laid back than the pace of the city-where you walk down the street and you greet the person you meet, and they greet you in return. the geography is absolutely beautiful there, yet be assured that i have the best of both worlds. i enjoy an early, long spring season, and where else could i enjoy that other than portland? just a few short weeks ago, the cherry trees were lovely. the dogwood trees and rhododendrons are amazing, greeting those of us that take a moment to marvel in the beauty of their fresh new faces. i am thankful to be here in portland and to enjoy such sights.
